The Evelyn Apple/Stacy Wood Program
The Evelyn Apple/Stacy Wood Scholarship Program is an outreach of the Twin Lakes Auxiliary, a resident-operated non-profit organization within Twin Lakes Community committed to improving the life of its residents and employees. The scholarship program provides grants to children of Twin Lakes’ staff members and dependent grandchildren attending post-secondary educational institutions, such as colleges, trade schools, and life skills programs. According to Homer Ashby, chair of the scholarship committee, there have been 289 scholarships gifted, totaling $418,900 since its inception. During this year’s ceremony, 11 applicants were awarded a grant of $2,200 each.
